James Cai came to the States from Shanghai, China in 1990 to study at UT Arlington. He graduated in 1992 with a Master of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering. Later he was enrolled in UT Dallas in 1996 as a part-time student and graduated in 2001 with a PhD degree in Electrical Engineering. He started the theological study at Dallas Theological Seminary in 2009 and graduated in 2017 with a ThM degree. He was baptized at Arlington Chinese Church in 1990. He joined Dallas Chinese Bible Church in 1993 and was involved in UTD student ministry and audio/video ministry. In 2003, He joined CCCFC serving mainly in the Sunday school and the student ministry. He served as a mission deacon from 2011 to 2015 and a member of the mission committee since then. He has been leading the adult education department since 2017, elected as a deacon in 2019 and later the chair of the deacon board in 2020. His wife Qian serves in AWANA and children Sunday school. They have one daughter.
